Servlet error : java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException (JSF RI 1.1_01: IndexOutOfBoundsException)

Are you getting this error? Once this exception occurs no users can use the web application anymore. Which is obviously a big problem.. So if you are getting this error something like the one shown below, then you can solve this by following this solution.

It may be that the Faces tags hold information during page generation, which are deleted in the doEndTag method or somewhere at the end of serving page. In case of errors, the page generation is interrupted and the cleaning methods are not called.
To solve this problem switch off the "tag reuse" functionality in the Jsp servlet.
If you are using OC4J, set the tags_reuse_default init-param to "none" for the oracle.jsp.runtimev2.JspServlet in global-web-application.xml.
If you use another application server you should set the appropriate configuration parameter.
