add woff2 files to apache cache
By: Gren in Apache Tutorials on 2023-04-03
To add WOFF2 files to the cache with the mod_expires module in Apache, you can add the following line to your Apache configuration file (e.g. apache2.conf or .htaccess file in your website's root directory):
ExpiresByType font/woff2 "access plus 1 year"
This directive tells Apache to set an expiration time of 1 year (represented by access plus 1 year) for all WOFF2 font files with the font/woff2 MIME type. You can adjust the expiration time as needed.
If you want to include other font file types, you can add additional ExpiresByType directives for each MIME type. For example, to add WOFF and EOT font files to the cache, you can add the following lines:
ExpiresByType font/woff "access plus 1 year" ExpiresByType application/vnd.ms-fontobject "access plus 1 year"
Make sure to include these directives in the appropriate section of your configuration file, such as within the <IfModule mod_expires.c> section.
Once you've added the ExpiresByType directives, save the configuration file and restart Apache for the changes to take effect.
